(Ottawa, Ontario, September 30, 2008) – The 2009 winners of the annual Canada’s Top 10™ Competition have been selected (www.topcanadiancompanies.ca). Winners will gather on October 7th at the Fairmont Chateau Laurier Hotel in Ottawa to hone their presentation skills, meet local and regional investors, and prepare themselves for the first leg of the 2009 Investment Forum series. Wavesat will participate as a presenting company at the 12th Annual Ottawa Venture and Technology Summit on October 8th (www.ottawavts.com). Vodafone Executive Joins Wavesat Board of Directors |

Sunnyvale, CA – July 9, 2008 – Wavesat Inc., a leading supplier of Broadband Wireless semiconductor solutions, announced today that Professor Michael Walker, Group R&D Director at Vodafone has been appointed to the Board of Directors, effective immediately.
"We welcome the addition of Mike to our Board,” said Pat Smith, Chairman of the Board, Wavesat. “As a leader in the telecom industry, he brings a wealth of expertise and wisdom that will be very beneficial to Wavesat. His market knowledge will be a tremendous asset as Wavesat extends its global reach and enters new markets."
Professor Michael Walker is the Group Research and Development Director for the Vodafone Group (NYSE: VOD), with responsibility for R&D activities worldwide. The role provides technical leadership for the Group's long-term business strategy and leadership for the company's work in international technical standards. Since 1996, Michael has been a professor at the University of London, holding the part-time Vodafone Chair in Telecommunications at Royal Holloway. He is also a visiting Professor at the University of Surrey. Michael is Vice-Chairman of the Mobile VCE, a group of companies and UK universities researching future mobile communications and currently has a seat on the UK Government's Technology Strategy Board. Before joining Vodafone, Michael was Head of Mathematics at Racal Research and prior to that he was an academic at the University of Tuebingen in Germany.

(CCI), a leading ODM for handheld devices, has selected Wavesat to co-develop products for its Mobile WiMAX product line, starting with a USB Dongle. The collaboration between the two companies will leverage Wavesat’s multimode Odyssey 8500 4G Broadband chipset, providing access to multiple broadband wireless technologies including WiMAX Wave2, XG-PHS, WiFi and seamless migration to LTE.
